8 Things

Katrina's room is almost done.
She how has shelves and an enormous bookcase.
I wish I had had such a cool room when I was 15.

There is nothing better than a roaring fire in the middle of winter.
Except maybe roasting marshmallows on it.
Alas, we had none.  :(

Have you tried these?
Do yourself a favor.  Do.
They are amazing!

My bathroom is finally all the way complete.
I will post more pictures of the details later.

I love that my Jerry loves his kids so much.
Even if he never lets them win.

The Spring bug has bitten me hard.
These are just a few of the things I have planted over the last couple of days.
Plus about half of my vegetable garden.

If you are ever in Tyler, Texas, this is the place to eat.
It is wonderful! Trust me.

My brand new salt and pepper shakers.
Got them from a flea market last weekend.

This has been a Public Service Announcement
brought to you by the letter L.

Rurality Blog Hop #5

  1. I like the salt and pepper shakers, cute! Your daughter's room looks nice and roomy!! Neat too that your husband doesn't let the kids win; they'll keep trying and one day they will win and what an achievement that will be!

  2. He should never let them win and they will grow up loving the challenge of trying! Great post :) Love the color of the shakers!

  3. I love how you captured the flames in that fire. Perfect timing on that. Your bathroom is looking pretty nice too.

  4. love that bedroom and that bbq sounds delicious...must be, after all, texas knows its bbq right?! ha, my husband never lets the kids win either :D

  5. Love this series of shots... the bedroom, yes I would have loved that at 15... love your newly completed bath... and the fire without mallows is still pretty! Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #5' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #6...

  6. Your house is looking so wonderful! Great job! And I don't let my kids win at chess either. That way when they finally do (and that will probably be soon) they will really know they accomplished something and that I didn't just "let" them win. :)
Beautiful flowers! I can't wait for flowers. :)
